16 Days to Go

Princess Cassie
Once again, our Christmas Celebration has to be interrupted.  Today was the day of the Princess Birthday Party.  After 3 days of dress making, we put the creation on Cassie and went to the party.  She makes a very good princess.  She informed Daddy that he had to open the doors for her.  He's like "WHAT?!?!"  And she informed him that it was his job, since she was a princess.  She also wore her coat over her shoulders, because that's how princesses do it.  I learned a lot about princesses today.  For instance, Daddy also had to help her out of the car and escort her into the building.  He was balking at this too, saying if she was a princess then he was a king and didn't have to do crap.  Don't worry.  I corrected him and he did all he was supposed to.  He was a very good princess Daddy.

Every princess needs a doting Daddy

There was a moment where she saw sandwiches and got excited... until the Hostess told her that the kids will be eating pizza.  That is NOT something a princess needs to hear.  So I assured her that I would sneak her a sandwich.  She even picked it out as I put it on my plate.  Then I made the mistake of walking away from my plate.  When she finished with her pizza, she came over to where I was sitting and stole the sandwich.  After eating probably 3/4ths of the sandwich, she decided she was done and returned it to me.  <sigh>  So I finished it.  It was a good sandwich.

Cassie won musical chairs.  During the pin the what-ever-you-pin-on-a-mermaid game, Cassie ended up taking her spinned & blindfolded body out the door... but they pulled her back.  They wouldn't let me play any of the princess games, so I made Pitman get me a second piece of cake to make up for my slight.  But, even with all that, I think a good time was had by all.  Wendy & Rusty put on a heck of a shindig, thats for sure!!!!

BUT, back on the Christmas front, when we returned home, Robert put up the new lighted candy canes I bought him on Wednesday.  It took us that long to figure out the best way to put 4, mostly white candy canes with 6 mostly red lighted candy canes.  But, the results are beautiful!!  But not as beautiful as a princess party!!!!
